2021 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad announced

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Over 1,370 student-athletes from 80 Division I institutions have been named to the 2021 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

Columbia University had the most National Academic Squad selections this year, with 25 student-athletes on the list.

Duke University, Fairfield University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Iowa tied for second-most National Academic Squad selections this year, with each program placing 24 student-athletes on the list.

Appearing on the list for the fourth time are 230 student-athletes — seniors or fifth-year student-athletes who are four-year honorees have been distinguished in the award listing.

The 2021 honorees appear below, they are listed alphabetically first by school, then by last name. The table is also searchable and filterable.

Correction (February 17, 2022): The original announcement listed Duke, Fairfield, Iowa, and Cal as tied for most student-athletes on the 2021 list. After corrections were reported to the NFHCA, it was calculated that Columbia actually led the nation.

Three Division I academic awards remain to be announced — the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 15, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and the National Scholar-Athlete on February 23.

Coaches will be notified when award winner certificates are available.
