Westbrook, Gillette NFHCA DII Field Hockey Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Emma Westbrook, a senior forward from Newberry College, and Paige Gillette, a graduate student goalkeeper from Assumption University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Minke Klijn, a junior forward from East Stroudsburg University, received honorable mention nod for Offensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Emma Westbrook, Newberry College, Senior, Forward (Dover, DE)
- Powered Newberry to two victories, scoring four goals and totaling eight points on the week.
- Delivered a hat trick and the game-winning goal in the Wolves’ 3-2 victory over then-No. 7 Lander.
- Named the South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her high-impact performances.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Paige Gillette, Assumption University, Graduate Student, Goalkeeper (Andover, MA)
- Posted a .923 save percentage and 0.50 goals-against average, including a nine-save shutout over then-No. 9 Saint Anselm.
- Made a clutch sliding save in the final 20 seconds to preserve the 1–0 victory over Saint Anselm.
- Recognized as the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week after leading Assumption to two NE-10 wins on the week.
NFHCA Division II Honorable Mention
Offensive: Minke Klijn, East Stroudsburg, Junior, Forward (Rotterdam, Netherlands)
- Tallied three goals and three assists to lead East Stroudsburg to a 3-0 week, including a win over then-No. 1 Shippensburg.
- Recognized as the PSAC Offensive Player of the Week.
