According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer in American women, except for skin cancers. And while breast cancer occurs mainly in women, men can get it too.
Currently, there is a 1 in 8 chance that a woman will develop breast cancer in their lifetime and in 2020 the American Cancer Society estimates that 2,620 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in men.
This educational webinar will address signs of breast cancer, best practices for finding breast cancer early, how to advocate for yourself, and how to support those who face a difficult diagnosis. We hope this serves as a valuable resource for the field hockey community and are grateful to Dr. Toni Aluko for sharing her time and expertise with the NFHCA!
