COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recognizes two standout athletes as the November 2025 High School Players of the Month.

Offensive Player of the Month – Kira Trader, Tabb High School (VA), Midfielder, Class of 2026

Trader, captain of Tabb High School, closed her undefeated career in storybook fashion — leading her team to a fifth straight state championship and an undefeated career record. In November’s post-season, Trader delivered 13 goals and 15 assists, factoring into every game-winner across six playoff matches — including a breathtaking 93-yard run to tie the title game and a record-breaking assist on the championship clincher.

Defensive Player of the Month – Jayda Reyes, Sheehan High School (CT), Defender, Class of 2026

Reyes emerged as a postseason force — shifting into the center-back role and powering her team to its first quarterfinal appearance since 1985 by upsetting the No. 5 seed as a No. 12.  Shutting down down elite attackers, Reyes made two defensive saves in the 2–1 quarterfinal upset, and still found ways to generate chances as a dual threat on both offensive and defensive corners.
