Peregoy, Schreck named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

GENEVA, N.Y. — Junior defender from Adelphi University, Kylie Peregoy, and graduate student midfielder from University of New Haven, Sophie Schreck, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week sponsored by ScoreBreak, respectively.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Kylie Peregoy, Adelphi University, Jr., Defender (Medford, New York)
- Anchored the Panthers defensive efforts in a 2-0 week for Adelphi
- Recorded a defensive save in the 1-0 overtime victory vs then-No.6 Saint Anselm College
- This marks the Panther’s first road win against Saint Anselm since 2014
- Secured the backfield in the decisive 9-0 victory vs Southern Connecticut State University
- Named NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Sophie Schreck, University of New Haven, Gr., Midfielder (Madison, Connecticut)
- Scored two goals and two assists for a total of six points in the 2-0 week for New Haven
- Assisted once in the 4-3 victory vs Pace University
- Scored two goals and an assist in the 4-0 victory vs Franklin Pierce University
- Schreck leads New Haven with four goals and 10 points
- Named NE10 Player of the Week
The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
