NFHCA Welcomes New Team Members

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is delighted to announce the addition of Catherine (Ostoich) Wiese and Katie Reynolds to its team, starting in mid-July. Both will serve in a part-time capacity while they continue coaching their respective Division III programs.

Weise, who joins the NFHCA as the Assistant Director, will primarily focus on awards and event management, serving as a committee liaison for many of the NFHCA’s committees, coach education coordination and administration, and other general assistance where needed. She is the head coach at Albright College (PA). Previously she served as the head coach at Central Michigan University and Missouri State University, and as an assistant coach at Indiana University and Davidson College. Wiese also coached lacrosse and field hockey at the high school level before beginning her college coaching career. Outside of field hockey, she has also served as an Event Coordinator and Marketing Director for other organizations. Wiese has also served as a part-time Sports Administration Assistant seasonally for the NFHCA since August of last year.

Reynolds joins the NFHCA as the Marketing & Member Services Manager. Her responsibilities include member services, digital campaign management for new member acquisition, member retention, and NFHCA event promotion; copywriting, graphic design; website management, and assistance with event operations. She is the head coach at Manhattanville University (NY) and, a former field hockey coach and lacrosse coach at the high school level. Reynolds founded K Field Hockey in 2019, a program of field hockey training clinics in the Hudson Valley for players ages 5 through 18. Outside of field hockey, Reynolds has worked as a Marketing Operations Coordinator and Communications Coordinator for other organizations.

Their passion for field hockey, combined with their talent, experience, and positive energy, will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and grow as an association to best serve our members and the field hockey community,” remarked NFHCA Executive Director Cate Clark.

Wiese and Reynolds join part-time staff member Laurie Temple, current Digital Communications Specialist whose primary focus is social media management, copywriting, and press releases. Temple, Co-Owner of Phoenix Elite Field Hockey Club in NJ, joined the NFHCA team permanently in February after working seasonally during the fall of ’23 in this capacity.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
