Mason named NFHCA June Club Player of the Month

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Ysens Mason, a 2028 forward hailing from HUSEL in Oakton, Virginia, has earned the title of NFHCA June Club Player of the Month.

Mason showcased exceptional performance in the Region 8 Junior Premiere Hockey League tournaments, emerging as the top goal scorer with 13 goals for her U14 HUSEL squad. She also contributed significantly to the team’s victory in the Regional Club Championships for Region 8, tallying four goals while adding two assists, helping the team to a first-place finish and a total of 19 goals. At the National Club Championships, she netted three crucial goals, including one to secure a shootout victory, as well as the winning goal of the final game.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
