Lee, Wasserman named Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week
BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Junior goalkeeper, Grace Lee, and freshman midfielder, Caitlin Wassermann, both from Newberry College have been named this week’s Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

In Newberry College’s conference contest against Belmont Abbey College last week, Lee posted three saves. Lee was in the cage for the full 60 minutes of action and faced nine shots, allowing only one goal in the 4-1 win.
Lee was named South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Caitlin Wassermann, Newberry College, Fr., Midfielder (Sydney, Australia)
Wassermann contributed three points in Newberry College’s 4-1 win over Belmont Abbey College last week. In just the second game of her collegiate career, Wassermann netted the first goal of the contest and assisted on the second.
Wassermann was named South Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
