Koprivova, Hulst named NFHCA Division II National Players of the Week

MANAHAWKIN, NJ  — Senior goalkeeper from Limestone University, Tereza Koprivova, and sophomore defender from No. 10 Lander University, Victoria Hulst, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week

 

Tereza Koprivova , Limestone University, Sr., Goalkeeper (Olesna, Czech Republic)

  • Tallied a season-high 10 saves in the title game of the SAC Championship against Lander.
  • Recorded six saves in the quarterfinal game and six more in the semifinal match to total 22 saves on the week.
  • Made her final save in the last minute of the semifinal match against then No. 10 Newberry to send Limestone to the title game.

NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

 

Victoria Hulst, No. 10 Lander University, So., Defender (Maarssen, Netherlands)

  • Named South Atlantic Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player.
  • Netted buzzer-beater in the semifinal round to send fourth-seeded Lander into the SAC championship game.
  • Tallied the game-winner on a penalty stroke in overtime to secure Lander’s first SAC title in just the program’s second year of competition.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport.
