Hersman, Kirkpatrick NFHCA DII Field Hockey Players of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Veerle Hersman, a sophomore forward from West Chester University, and Olivia Kirkpatrick, a sophomore defender from Kutztown University, have been named this week’s NFHCA Division II Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Parker Keeler, a junior forward from Newberry College, and Millie Forster, a senior defender from Saint Anselm College, received honorable mention nods for Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week
Veerle Hersman, West Chester, Sophomore, Forward (Lisse, Netherlands)
- Scored all three of West Chester’s goals in wins over then-No. 5 Bloomsburg and Slippery Rock.
- Named PSAC Offensive Athlete of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia Kirkpatrick, Kutztown, Sophomore, Defender (Annville, PA)
- Anchored Kutztown to a 3-0 week, allowing just two goals and eight total shots.
- Scored in all three victories, including the eventual game-winner in a 2-0 win over then-No. 10 Millersville.
- Earned PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.
NFHCA Division II Honorable Mention
Offensive: Parker Keeler, Newberry College, Junior, Forward (Bridgeville, DE)
- Tallied four goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for Newberry, accounting for half of the Wolves’ total offense.
- Earned SAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Defensive: Millie Forster, Saint Anselm College, Senior, Defender (Cheshire, England)
- Tallied two goals while guiding Saint Anselm to two shutout wins, including a key NE10 victory over Bentley.
- Named NE10 Defensive Player of the Week.
