Collegiate Assistant Coach Workshop
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024
Designed for collegiate assistant coaches across all divisions, this four-hour workshop will cover essential off-the-field topics to optimize your career path. This professional development workshop will emphasize your leadership journey as an assistant or associate collegiate coach. Some of the key topics covered will include:
- Developing your Personal Vision & Values & Coaching Identity
- Defining your Communication Goals & Style
- Cultivating Culture
- Managing Personal Growth & Well-Being
The workshop will be facilitated by retired Trinity College Head Coach Anne Parmenter, former Yale Head Coach Pam Stuper, former Ball State Head Coach Stephanie Bernthal, and communications expert and former coach Betsy Butterick.
Additional Information
- Registration Requirements: Limited to 28 participants. Interested coaches must submit an application. Applicants will be notified by November 10, 2023 of their admission to the workshop. Only NFHCA members may apply.
- Application Deadline: November 1, 2023
- Cost: $49 for selected coaches
Hall of Fame Reception
6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024
The NFHCA Hall of Fame Reception is the culminating event of the NFHCA Annual Convention — it is where we honor our Hall of Fame inductees and Lifetime Achievement Award winners. The reception includes a pre-event cocktail reception and dinner.
Additional Information
- Registration Requirements: Tickets are complimentary for NFHCA Annual Convention attendees — guest tickets are available for purchase.
- Cost: Single guest tickets are $79
- Dress: Business casual or cocktail attire. No jeans please.
Legal Counsel Office Hours
By appointment throughout event.
NFHCA Annual Convention attendees with legal questions, contracts to review, job-related issues or concerns are welcome to sign up for a 30-minute meeting with Samantha Ekstrand, the NFHCA’s legal counsel and an attorney who advises coaches.
