Scholarships

The NFHCA will award a designated number of scholarships this year for the 2026 Annual Convention. Scholarships are only available to NFHCA members.

Scholarship applications are available under the “Forms” tab in the NFHCA Member Portal.

Scholarship Application Deadline: November 10, 2025

The NFHCA Convention Committee will review and make scholarship selections no later than November 21, 2025.  Applicants are encouraged to register for the Convention by Sept 30 to secure the Early Bird rate if not selected for a scholarship.  Refunds will be provided to scholarship recipients who have already paid the registration fee, by December 16. Scholarships are non-transferrable. If not used in the current year, they may not be transferred to a future year’s Convention.

Refund Policy

All cancellation requests must be in writing from the original registrant and emailed to cate.clark@nfhca.org. Cancellations received on or prior to November 14, 2025 will receive a partial refund, minus an administrative fee of $75. No refunds will be given on or after November 15, 2025. The NFHCA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. All requests for exceptions to the cancellation/refund policy must be submitted in writing by the registrant with appropriate supporting documentation no later than January 13, 2026. Only major extenuating circumstances will be considered and administrative fees apply to all approved refunds. After January 13, 2026, no refund considerations will be made.

Registration transfers are permitted by submitting a written request to cate.clark@nfhca.org no later than January 10, 2026. Only one transfer is permitted per original registrant and a $15 transfer fee will be assessed and due upon transfer. The individual submitting the transfer request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with that substitution. Convention badge sharing is strictly prohibited.

Health & Safety

The NFHCA recommends that attendees be up to date on their vaccinations.  Convention attendees are reminded to be respectful of individual choices made by fellow attendees, NFHCA staff, and others at the Convention. These guidelines are subject to change at any point, and attendees will be notified if any additional requirements are implemented. All NFHCA Annual Convention attendees and exhibitors will be required to follow health and safety protocols issued by the NFHCA, the venue, and the local government in order to attend the event.  The NFHCA cannot guarantee that attendees will not become infected with COVID-19 as a result of participation at the Convention. By registering as an attendee, speaker, or exhibitor, you are:

• Acknowledging the contagious nature of COVID-19 and that exposure or infection may result in injury or illness;

• Assuming the risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by attending the NFHCA Convention, which exposure or infection may come from the actions, omissions, or negligence of you or others;

• Releasing, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless the NFHCA, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from any injury to you resulting from being exposed to or infected by COVID-19 in connection with your attendance at NFHCA events
