Curtis named NFHCA March Club Player of the Month

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Alexandra Curtis, a first-year midfielder hailing from Panthers United in Richmond, Virginia, has earned the prestigious title of NFHCA March Club Player of the Month.

As a vital member of the indoor and outdoor U-16 and U-19 squads, Curtis helped the Panthers to four wins, one tie, and zero losses in March. Her U16 performance was dominant at the National Indoor Tournament, instrumental in securing the Panther’s medal for their pool. Curtis also showcased her talent for Team USA with the U-16 Junior U.S. Women’s National Team. She clinched the winning goal at the Four Nations Tournament in Valkenswaard, Netherlands, with a 2-1 win over Belgium.

Honorable Mention:

Honorable mention goes to Kaitlyn Lake, a sophomore defender from Able Athletics in New York.

Lake participated in USA Field Hockey’s All Starz Showcase at the U16 Weekend at the National Indoor Tournament, securing four defensive saves for her team.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to stimulate the professional development of coaching leadership within the sport of field hockey. The NFHCA strives to cultivate and recognize the professional contributions of its membership and to foster and promote the growth of the sport. The NFHCA is responsible for providing a recognizable presence and voice in regard to legislation affecting the sport as well as interscholastic and intercollegiate programs.
