Conway, Bozzone named NFHCA October High School Players of the Month

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recognizes two standout athletes as the October 2025 High School Players of the Month.

Offensive Player of the Month – Lola Conway, The Bishop’s School (CA), Midfielder, Class of 2028

With 22 goals and 9 assists across nine October contests, Conway led the entire state of California in scoring and propelled The Bishop’s School to an undefeated 9–0 month.

Defensive Player of the Month – Sophia Bozzone, Friends’ Central School (PA), Goalkeeper, Class of 2026 

Bozzone recorded 123 saves over six October games and capped the month with a .904 save percentage. In the final game of the season, Bozzone made an incredible 17 saves in the first quarter alone.

Honorable Mention

Long Reach High School (MD) midfielder Samantha Legge, Class of 2026, earned honorable mention recognition after posting 19 goals and 12 assists in seven October games, helping Long Reach to a 6–1 record on the month.

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is a nonprofit organization serving field hockey coaches and supporters of the game from across the United States. The mission of the organization is to champion, strengthen, and celebrate field hockey coaches and the game.
