Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Defensive Player of the Week

Bryn Boylan, University of North Carolina, Sr., Forward/Midfielder (Doylestown, Pennsylvania)

Boylan came off the bench to provide a defensive spark in UNC’s 3-1 season-opening win over Wake Forest University. UNC allowed just one corner and limited the Demon Deacons to seven shots. Throughout the match, Boylan read the game well and came up with key tackles at important moments to lead the Tar Heels defense.

Meredith Sholder, University of North Carolina, RJr., Forward (Alburtis, Pennsylvania)

Sholder started on the front line and scored UNC’s only field goal in their 3-1 season-opening victory at Wake Forest University on Sunday.
