GILBERT, Ariz. — The 2020 NFHCA Resume Bank, a collection of resumes from NCAA field hockey student-athletes, is now accepting submissions.
In March 2019, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) unveiled the Resume Bank, a new initiative designed to provide more resources to its current membership and provide an unobstructed path to a coaching career for graduating college seniors. The Resume Bank houses resumes submitted by NCAA student-athletes who interested in coaching and makes the collection available to NFHCA member coaches as a professional resource. Over 20 resumes were housed in the 2019 NFHCA Resume Bank and over 40 NFHCA coach members requested access.
“It was clear at the close of the 2019 NFHCA Annual Convention that we needed to connect these two field hockey stakeholders and work to remove any roadblocks to a coaching career,” said NFHCA Director of Marketing and Communications, Kirstin Gebhart. “The Resume Bank is a step in the right direction. It gives graduating student-athletes a clearer avenue to a field hockey coaching career and will provide our member coaches with easier access to an important talent pool.”
Any student-athlete who appears on an NCAA field hockey roster and is graduating during the 2019-2020 academic year can submit their resume to the 2020 NFHCA Resume Bank via an online form. The 2020 NFHCA Resume Bank will be made available to NFHCA member coaches upon request until April 30, 2021.
