Thompson, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athlete of the Year, has been named the First Point USA/NFHCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year after a successful season with the 2019 NCAA National Champion, West Chester University.

Thompson led the Golden Rams in all offensive categories — goals (22), assists (18), and points (63). She was second in the nation in goals and points and led the country in assists. Thompsons's goalscoring abilities helped lead West Chester to the program's third NCAA Division II National Championship. Yesterday, she was named a 2019 Longstreth/NFHCA Division II First Team All-American.
