Barnard, Servais named Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II Weekly Award winners

GILBERT, Ariz. — Hannah Barnard, junior goalkeeper from Bloomsburg University, and Hélène Servais, junior forward from No. 10 Southern New Hampshire University, have been named this week's Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Hannah Barnard, Bloomsburg University, Jr., Goalkeeper (Vestal, New York)

Barnard led Bloomsburg University to a pair of shutout victories last week which helped put Bloomsburg in a three-way tie for the final postseason spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) standings. Barnard turned aside all 20 shots she faced in wins over then-No. 3 Millersville University and Slippery Rock University. In the 1-0 double-overtime victory against the Marauders she turned away 15 shots to secure the shutout. She repeated her shutout performance on Saturday with five saves to keep Slippery Rock off the scoreboard.

Barnard was named the PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week

Hélène Servais, Southern New Hampshire University, Jr., Forward/Midfielder (Brussels, Belgium)

Servais registered eight points in a pair of Northeast-10 Conference wins for No. 9 Southern New Hampshire University last week. She opened the week with two goals and an assist in a 7-1 victory over Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday before adding another goal and an assist in a 3-1 win over No. 8 Assumption College on Saturday. Servais currently leads the NE10 in points with 33.

Servais was named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week.
