GILBERT, Ariz. — Kayla Peterson, senior midfielder from No. 2 The College of New Jersey, and Bre Socker, junior forward/midfielder from St. John Fisher College, have been named this week's Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division III Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Kayla Peterson, The College of New Jersey, Sr., Midfielder (Cream Ridge, New Jersey)
Peterson anchored a stalwart TCNJ defense last week as the Pride improved to 13-0. Peterson played an important role on both sides of the ball — on Tuesday, she scored once and also had an assist in No. 2 TCNJ's 3-1 win over Albright College. Then on Saturday, Peterson assisted on TCNJ's lone goal against Montclair state and lead the TCNJ defense to keep MSU off the board.
Peterson was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Play Safe Turf & Track/NFHCA Division III Offensive Player of the Week
Bre Socker, St. John Fisher College, Jr., Forward/Midfielder (Liverpool, New York)
Socker tallied 18 points in four games last week for St. John Fisher College, scoring in all but one contest. In Empire 8 action last week Socker scored four times in each game against Houghton College and The Sage Colleges. In the Cardinal's 5-0 win over SUNY Brockport, Socker scored again. Socker currently ranks third nationally in goals per game.
Socker was named Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week.
Kate Kujawa, University of Rochester, Sr., Goalkeeper (Elm Grove, Wisconsin)
Kujawa was 3-0 in the cage for the University Rochester last week, picking up wins over Wells College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and then-No. 9 Vassar College. Over the week, Kujawa faced seven shots, stopping all but one. Her highlight performance came when she made five saves and stopped all three penalty shootout attempts against Vassar.
Kujawa was named Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week.
