Theunisz named 2018 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Scholar-Athlete

GILBERT, Ariz. — Caro Theunisz, a junior midfielder from Lindenwood University, has been named this year's Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Scholar-Athlete.

The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Scholar-Athlete award is presented to the 2018 Longstreth/NFHCA Division II All-American honoree who earns the highest cumulative grade-point average through the first semester of the 2018-19 academic year.

A 2018 Longstreth/NFHCA Division II Second-Team All-American, Theunisz appeared in all 15 games for the Lions this season. She was an important contributor to Lindenwood University's 12-3 season, scoring two goals and assisting on five others.

Earlier this spring, she was named to the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad and was named a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II Scholar of Distinction. Theunisz is currently majoring in sociology at Lindenwood.
