GILBERT, Ariz. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has unveiled a new initiative designed to provide more resources to its current membership and provide an unobstructed path to a coaching career for graduating college seniors.
The 2019 NFHCA Resume Bank will be a collection of resumes submitted by NCAA student-athletes interested in coaching — the collection will be made available to NFHCA member coaches as a professional resource.
"It was clear at the close of the 2019 NFHCA Annual Convention that we needed to connect these two field hockey stakeholders and work to remove any roadblocks to a coaching career," said NFHCA Director of Marketing and Communications, Kirstin Gebhart. "The Resume Bank is a step in the right direction. It will give graduating student-athletes a clearer avenue to a field hockey coaching career and will provide our member coaches with easier access to an important talent pool."
Any student-athlete who appears on an NCAA field hockey roster and is graduating in the spring of 2019 can submit their resume to the 2019 NFHCA Resume Bank via an online form. The resume submission period opens on March 1 and will close on April 30, 2019. The 2019 NFHCA Resume Bank will be made available to NFHCA member coaches upon request until April 30, 2020.
