NFHCA announces new members of the Executive Board

GILBERT, Ariz. — Following a vote by the membership, Joan Johnson, Jackie Kane and Katrina Ross have been selected to occupy seats on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Executive Board.

Joan Johnson, president of the Gaels Field Hockey Club and head coach of Chesapeake High School in Maryland, will be the new club coach group representative. Johnson's two-year term will begin at the conclusion of the 2019 NFHCA Annual Convention. Johnson will be replacing Tina Edmonds, head coach of Texas Pride Field Hockey — Edmonds was the club representative for the last four years, serving two-consecutive terms.

Jackie Kane, the head coach at Fairfield University, will assume the position of second vice-president. Kane will begin her two-year term at the conclusion of the 2019 NFHCA Annual Convention. Kane will be replacing Mae Shoemaker, head coach at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, who served as the second vice-president for two-consecutive, two-year terms.

Katrina Ross, head coach at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Maryland, has been selected to become the high school group representative. Due to a vacancy, Ross' two-year term will begin immediately.
