Messiah moves into first place on Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll

GILBERT, Ariz. — For the first time this season, Messiah College moves into first place on the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll. The Falcons are touting a perfect 17-0 record going into the postseason. As the first seed in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth tournament, they will face Lebanon Valley College in the semifinal on Wednesday, with a win they could compete again on Saturday in the conference final.

Middlebury College takes second place this week after suffering their first loss of the season — No. 12 Williams College beat Middlebury 4-2 last week. Despite that loss, Middlebury is still seeded first in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) championship tournament. They will face No. 14 Trinity College on Saturday in the NESCAC semifinal.

Rounding out the top five are No. 3 Rowan University, No. 4 Tufts University and No. 5 The College of New Jersey. Rowan will go into the week as the top seed in the New Jersey Athletic Conference tournament while Tufts is seeded second and TNCJ is seeded third in their respective conference tournaments.
