Shippensburg University remains at the top of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll

GILBERT, Ariz. — Shippensburg University maintains their first-place ranking in the first week of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll after a two-win weekend where they outscored their opponents seven to one. Following the Raiders is East Stroudsburg University and Stonehill College tied at the number two spot with 138 points each. In fourth is Millersville University and in fifth is Bloomsburg University, each touting a 2-0 record.

Pace University has entered the ranks for the first time this season at number eight after a strong start and a 7-1 win over New Haven last weekend. Lindenwood University also established themselves in the poll, settling at number 10 after a two-win weekend.

The next Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll will be announced on Tuesday, September 18. The poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2018 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship.
