GILBERT, Ariz. - Messiah racked up two wins last week to remain unbeaten and continue to occupy the No. 1 ranking in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Coaches Poll.
The Falcons have an 11-0 record and now own a 33-game winning streak dating back to last season. On Wednesday, Messiah will face off against the last team to defeat it when the Falcons head to Shippensburg, which is currently ranked No. 1 in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II Coaches Poll. Both teams won the national championship in their respective divisions last season.
Messiah captured 848 points and 42 first-place votes to claim the No. 1 ranking. It was followed in the top five by No. 2 Babson, No. 3 Middlebury, No. 4 The College of New Jersey and No. 5 Tufts, with No. 6 Amherst, No. 7 Montclair State, No. 8 Christopher Newport, No. 9 Salisbury and No. 10 Williams completing the top half of the poll.
The rest of the ranking included No. 11 Hamilton, No. 12 Catholic, No. 13 Franklin & Marshall, No. 14 Kean, No. 15 MIT, No. 16 Skidmore, No. 17 Bowdoin, No. 18 York, No. 19 Rochester and No. 20 St. John Fisher. Both York and St. John Fisher debuted in the ranking this week.

No. 11 Hamilton is involved in the only two games this week featuring ranked teams, visiting No. 10 Williams on Wednesday and No. 17 Bowdoin on Saturday.
