GILBERT, Ariz. - Connecticut holds the top ranking in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches Poll as the Huskies enter the weekend looking to cap off an unbeaten regular season.
UConn notched 1,097 points and 41 first-place votes to claim the top ranking. The Huskies have a 15-0 mark, and will conclude the regular season this weekend when they visit Quinnipiac on Friday and host No. 11 Boston College on Sunday. In the rest of the top five, Duke maintained its slot at No. 2, Michigan slid up to No. 3 while Virginia moved down a position to No. 4, and Penn State joined the group at No. 5.
Coming in at No. 6 in the ranking was North Carolina, while No. 7 Delaware and No. 8 Maryland each moved up four places. No. 9 Louisville and No. 10 Northwestern completed the top 10.
Three Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) teams were next with No. 11 Boston College, No. 12 Syracuse and No. 13 Wake Forest, followed by No. 14 Princeton, No. 15 James Madison, No. 16 Harvard, No. 17 Saint Joseph's, No. 18 Stanford, No. 19 William & Mary and No. 20 Rutgers. The rest of the poll featured No. 21 Boston University, No. 22 Albany, No. 23 Iowa, No. 24 Pacific and No. 25 Maine, with the latter two teams joining the ranking this week.

There are six games between top-25 teams this week, beginning with No. 21 Boston University at No. 16 Harvard on Tuesday. No. 15 James Madison visits No. 19 William & Mary on Friday and No. 24 Pacific goes to No. 12 Syracuse on Saturday. In addition to the BC-UConn matchup, Sunday's slate includes a pair of Big Ten Tournament contests with No. 23 Iowa at No. 5 Penn State and No. 20 Rutgers heading to No. 10 Northwestern.
