GILBERT, Ariz. - Connecticut remained at No. 1 in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches Poll on Tuesday as the unbeaten Huskies zero in on a perfect regular season with two just weekends remaining.
Connecticut captured 1,174 points and 46 first-place votes to grab the top spot, and was once again followed by Duke at No. 2. Virginia came in at No. 3 and Michigan was at No. 4, while North Carolina rounded out the top five.
Penn State remained at No. 6 while Louisville rose four slots to No. 7. The rest of the top ten included No. 8 Northwestern, No. 9 Boston College and No. 10 Syracuse.
Delaware came in at No. 11, followed by No. 12 Maryland, No. 13 Wake Forest, No. 14 Princeton and No. 15 Harvard. James Madison was next at No. 16, with Stanford at No. 17, William & Mary at No. 18, Saint Joseph's at No. 19 and Albany at No. 20. The poll concluded with Rutgers at No. 21, Boston University at No. 22, Massachusetts at No. 23, Ohio State at No. 24 and Iowa at No. 25.

Twelve matchups between top-25 teams are on this week's schedule, including four top-ten contests featuring No. 5 North Carolina against No. 2 Duke and No. 8 Northwestern at No. 4 Michigan on Friday, No. 3 Virginia at No. 7 Louisville on Saturday and Michigan at Louisville on Sunday. The rest of the top-25 matchups include No. 12 Maryland at No. 3 Virginia on Tuesday, No. 21 Rutgers at No. 6 Penn State, No. 9 Boston College at No. 13 Wake Forest, No. 18 William & Mary at No. 11 Delaware and No. 19 Saint Joseph's at No. 23 Massachusetts on Friday, No. 14 Princeton at No. 15 Harvard on Saturday and No. 12 Maryland at No. 21 Rutgers and No. 24 Ohio State at No. 25 Iowa on Sunday.
